Board Decisions
We determined a Bocce League schedule as follow:
- Competitive Bocce (2) Person Teams will be played MONDAY Morning at 9AMÂ
- Competitive Bocce (4) Person Teams will play MONDAY Evening beginning at 7PM
For those league players who do not wish to record scores and play non-competitively the schedule is as follows:
- NON – Competitive (4) Person Teams will play THURSDAY Evening beginning at 7PM
For those non-league players who wish to DROP-IN and play, this schedule will be Tuesday evenings and Thursday evenings. Check in at the Chota desk to register and pick up Bocce Balls.We agreed that I will meet with Trey Wittemore in lieu of Simon to determine the schedule for court enhancements to be completed.
We agreed there will be three (3) seasons for Bocce Play with schedule dates currently as stated above. Seasons are Spring / Summer / Fall The board agreed that a fee schedule for both Bocce League Play and Bocce Club Membership will be as follows:
- Bocce League play will be $10.00Â per person per season.
- Bocce Club Membership will be $20.00 per person for the year
To do’s —-for our next meeting at Toqua Wednesday June 17th at Noon.
Requesting —–Tim and Christiane to develop a list of what the fees for league play and club membership will be used for. Use your creativity for both categories. As a n example we have already spent a couple of hundred dollars on brochures, business cards, flyers, and banners!!!
Our board is planning to set up tables with brochures, banners and cards at all upcoming New Villager Meetings (first Tuesday of the month) and TVRA Meetings second Tuesday of the month at the Yacht Club. Staffing schedule needs to be developed!!
July 2nd will be the 250 Year Celebration at the Chota Clubhouse. The Bocce Board will attend and set up a table, banners, business cards and actively solicit new members. Should be a great opportunity for us to showcase our league!!
Following this event a Total Bocce League Meeting will be scheduled to roll out our board, summer schedule, membership fees, explanation of spending costs to date and anticipated planned events, etc.
